The room has no specific student night as such but offers good value drinks and a different atmosphere. It has three dance floors each of which caters for a different type of musical taste. The type of music is wide and varied and it covers everything from punk, rock right through to Hip-hop.
The atmosphere within the club is varied depending on where you are within the club. For example take a regular Wednesday night where downstairs has hardcore rock fans creating their usual loud intimidating atmosphere whereas a walk upstairs brings you back to “normality” and the more chilled out experience of Hip Hop and breakbeats. The staff and especially the bouncers all add to the atmosphere as they will all treat you with respect and actually seem glad that you’ve come to their club, which cannot be said about bouncers at most nightclubs within Hull.
The prices of the drinks are well within the student budget as most mainline spirits cost £1.20 for a shot and a mixer. Pints of lager vary in price with the usual special offer lagers starting at around £1.50 leading up to the better quality lagers such as Stella costing around £2.20 a pint.
Admission costs £1.50 for regular club nights, but on the special occasions when well know DJ’s play at the venue the admission can be anything between £5 and £10 pounds which is still very reasonable. To hang your coat up in the cloak room also has an additional charge of 50p but this is the norm in most clubs within Hull.
